The waves are consistently very strong, and this beach is should only be used by those with considerable surfing experience. Located south of downtown Yamba, you will need to drive or take the 380 bus to get there.
Back Beach Angourie
This spacious beach is located south of Angourie Point, and is a perfect spot for intermediate surfers. Depending on the weather, there are plenty of good waves to keep you entertained, but they aren’t as challenging as the ones on Angourie Point. The condition of the waves here can vary, so check online before you go.
This is probably the most used beach in Yamba because of the incredible ocean views. There are good surf spots here directly in front of the beach or on the north end of it. The waves are particularly good in the summer, when an annual surfing contest is held.
